The COVID-19 pandemic has completed changed the world that we live in. The majority of the country is still in complete lockdown, with all transport and non-essential services closed down. After almost two months, restrictions are slowly being lifted in select states. 

In Kolkata, selective few hotels and resorts are going to re-open soon. With private vehicles being allowed on the road, you can go for a short stay at a weekend holiday resort in Kolkata.

Before booking, make sure the resort is strictly adhering to the following sanitization measures: 

  • The entire staffmust be wearing N95 masks and gloves at all times.
  •   Hand sanitizers must be available in each room and at every point of the resort.
  • At the reception area, the floor should be marked at every 2 meters distance so guests can stand without breaking the social distancing protocol.
  • All touch points (like door knobs, switches, door handles, safety latches and taps etc.) shall be cleaned regularly with disinfectant cleaner.
  • Every weekend holiday resort in Kolkata shall check the body temperature of all incoming guests. Only those with a value of 98.3 Fahrenheit or below will be allowed to check-in.
  • If the guests arrive via personal vehicle, the car shall be washed at the gates itself.
  • Resorts should not operate on full capacity of rooms to ensure less people are present in the property.
  •  Daily thermal scanning checks must be done for all guests and staff.
  • Only trained professionals shall be allowed to enter and work in the kitchen.
  • Each of the kitchen staff must be wearing disposable gloves at all times.
  •  Buffet service will be discontinued. At the restaurant, each table must be seated at a distance of 2 meters each to maintain social distancing.
  • The food must be served only by trained professionals. No contact shall be made with any guest while serving the food.
